The Career Services department hosted a series of workshops this week on how to communicate effectively in a professional environment.
The workshops were curated by employer relations coordinator LaRae Vowiell, and covered a variety of topics pertaining to proper communication in a professional environment.
Attendees learned the meaning behind certain body language, what to include and what not to include in an e-mail, appropriate cell phone usage in the office, how to answer business phone calls and leave professional voice messages, and how to construct a proper cover letter.
The workshop is one of many that are hosted weekly by our Career Services department. They cover a multitude of topics, from perfecting your resume to negotiating salaries.
