#0 Zion Williams
A junior transfer from Wallace State Community College, this guard averaged nearly eight points, two assists, 1.5 steals and 3.5 rebounds per game last season. Williams helped the Wallace State Lions win the Alabama Community College Conference North Division championship, finishing with a 24-7 record overall.
#2 Rob Whitfield
Senior Rob Whitfield is a force to be reckoned with behind the arc. This returning guard ranked first in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and 28th in the NCAA last season with 41.8% three-point percentage. Coupled with 86.5% shooting from the foul line, Whitefield is a clear offensive threat.
#3 Brandon McKissic
A true defensive monster, Brandon McKissic is beginning his third season with the team. The guard had at least two steals in 13 games last season, including a season-high four steals against California Baptist University. Aside from defense, McKissic proved to be a renaissance man, earning impressive offensive statistics last season as well, shooting 45.3% from the field, 34.1% from deep and averaging two assists and 3.2 rebounds per game.
#4 Jahshire Hardnett
Jahshire Hardnett is a graduate transfer from Brigham Young University (BYU) where he played in 55 games over his two years there. This included 405 points, 105 assists, 44 steals, 136 rebounds, 44.2% shooting from the field and a 81.4 free-throw percentage. During his first year at BYU Hardnett received the Outstanding Defense Award from his team at its end-of-season banquet.
#5 Jordan Giles
Senior Jordan Giles is the most tenured player on the roster and the only Roo who has been here all four years. With 15 blocks and 99 rebounds last season alone, Giles is a proven momentum shifter on defense. He is also a well-rounded offensive guard, shooting 48.1% from the field last season. Giles also sank 71 free throws, which ranked 20th overall in the WAC.
#10 Fofo Adetogun
This freshman comes from Saskatchewan, Canada, where he played at Athol Murray College at Notre Dame High School. There, Adetogun was selected back-to-back years to the All-Star first and second teams in the National Preparatory Association (NPA). Averaging 21.8 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game, this guard earned himself Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Most Valuable Player in the NPA.
#11 Franck Kamgain
A transfer from Wheeling Jesuit University (WJU), Franck Kamgain is a Kansas City native who graduated from Center High School only after setting the career record for most points scored (1,300). At WJU, Kamgain began his last season scoring more than 10 points in his first 10 games. Last season, he also averaged 15.2 points, 2.0 steals and 2.9 assists per game.
#12 Maks Klanjscek
Maks Klanjscek is a 6-foot-5-inch freshman full of promise from Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 2017, he helped his International Basketball Federation (FIBA) U18 team to its European Championship. Klanjscek played for the Petrol Olimpija team in Slovenia for the 2017-2018 season.
#20 Josiah Allick
This 6-foot-7-inch freshman comes to Kansas City from Lincoln, Nebraska. At Lincoln North Star High School, he nearly averaged a double-double with 15.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Allick was a sniper from the field as well, shooting an impressive 65%. Beyond setting his school’s record of 255 rebounds in a season and 18 rebounds in a single game, Allick also earned All-Lincoln City First Team and All-Conference second team.
#23 Steve Dulley
Junior Steve Dulley is in his third year with the Roos. Dulley played in 25 games as a true freshman, averaging 7.8 minutes, 2.6 points and 1.2 rebounds per game. Unfortunately, he was injured after the first five games of his sophomore year. Before the injury, Dulley was shooting 33% from the field.
#25 Javan White
Senior Javan White is a transfer from Clemson who played his first two years of eligibility at Oral Roberts University (ORU). A 6-foot-10-inch threat on both offense and defense, White shot 50.6% from the field and ended his career at ORU averaging 7.7 points, 6.8 rebounds, .78 blocks .65 steals per game.
#33 Marvin Nesbitt Jr.
Over the course of his time at Kansas City, Nesbitt Jr. lead the team in rebounds and shot 41.1% from the field. Last season Nesbitt ranked 20th in the WAC for offensive (39) and defensive (98) rebounds.
