Roos Take Decisive Victory at Home Against Denver

Kansas City takes their second win in a row with a 14-point win over the Pioneers

The Kansas City Roos men’s basketball team took on the Denver Pioneers on Thursday night.

The Roos only lost the lead once in the game and went on to win 85-71.

Sophomore guard, Tyler Andrews, led the way in scoring for the Roos with a career high 25 points. Andrews credited his success to his teammates, but noted that the absence of junior guard, Cameron Faas, may have given him more opportunities.

“Not having my boy Cam gave me a lot more opportunities,” said Andrews. “But I really just gotta attribute it to my teammates, my point guard [Khristion Courseault] right here.”

While junior guard Courseault didn’t light up the arena with scoring, he did put up six assists and three steals.

The Roos will host the St. Thomas Tommies tonight at 7 p.m. in the Swinney Center. Tickets can be purchased here. The game can also be streamed on the Summit League Network via Midco Sports.
