Everyone struggles from time to time. Whether it’s running low on food or needing emotional support, UMKC is ready, willing and able to help its students through the toughest circumstances. Here are five places on campus who are ready to lend you a helping hand.
Kangaroo Food Pantry
4825 Troost Road
Students who are hungry and short of money can come to the food pantry to get some essential groceries. You must fill out a form, and students will need their IDs.
Rainbow Lounge and Library
Student Union Room 325
A safe, welcoming space for the LGBTQIA+ community at UMKC, the Rainbow Lounge provides students with opportunities, resources and information for a variety of circumstances.
UMKC Women’s Center
105 Haag Hall, 5100 Rockhill Road
As a critical office for all students at UMKC, its mission is to provide support services and resources for students in need.
UMKC Counseling Services

The campus counseling center provides a range of services that extend outside of basic counseling, including meetings with mental health professionals, drug and alcohol prevention and crisis intervention.
Title IX Office

If a student is dealing with sexual violence or harassment, the Title IX office helps them get the support they need. They also assist in solving discrimination cases.
