UMKC students are bringing out their sweaters and winter wardrobes due to the recent changes in the summer-to-fall weather.
Throughout fall fashion changing, people express themselves in varieties of ways.
Now that summer weather is coming to a close and Halloween is right around the corner, student fashion changes around campus.
“I’m more of a hoodie or sweater [girl]. Give me a cute grandpa sweater type of girl. I do love a pair of leggings and jeans too,“ said Victoria Harris, a freshman majoring in pre-dental hygiene.
Harris said she wants to look soft and approachable.
“I love when people come up to me,” she said.
Chelsey Bohmer, a freshman criminal justice and criminology major, said she’s excited for the new season approaching and the anticipation of a new wardrobe for these upcoming months. Although, as a recently graduated private school student Bohmer said she misses wearing a uniform.
“Sometimes it’s harder to find something to wear in the morning when I am tired,” she said. “The outfit usually depends on the day.”
Still, Bohmer said her style describes the best parts about her, like “insight to who I am as a person, what colors I like, what I enjoy, just figuring out what I look best in, because that’s what you start figuring out about yourself.”.
