Graduate guard RayQuawndis Mitchell will officially enter the transfer portal.
The Portal Report announced late afternoon on May 1 that Mitchell will seek to play his last season of college hoops for another team in the NCAA. This comes after he declared for the NBA Draft in late March.
As the focal point of a newly-formed Kansas City squad last season, Mitchell emerged as a quality scoring player. In 29 games played, he shot 83% at the free throw line and averaged 3.7 rebounds per game and 17.9 points per game.
According to The Portal Report, the following teams are interested in bringing in the Minnesota native:
Brigham Young University
University of Oklahoma
Louisiana State University
Utah State University
University of Charleston
Temple University
Towson University
Wichita State University
Texas Tech University
University of Texas-Martin
New Jersey Institute of Technology
Tarleton State University
The list of colleges is expected to expand as the days pass until Mitchell officially commits. Kansas City Athletics did not comment on Mitchell’s decision to transfer.
