Men’s Tennis

UMKC Men’s Tennis continued with their winning streak by defeating Cowley County Community College and Oral Roberts.

On Tuesday, April 12 the Roos faced Cowley County at the Plaza Tennis Center. They defeated them 6-1.

On Friday, April 15 UMKC men’s tennis tied the school record for most consecutive wins in a season after defeating Oral Roberts. The Roos achieved their 11th consecutive victory after defeating the Golden Eagles 4-2.

The victory over the Golden Eagle’s was also the 13th straight Summit League regular season victory.

UMKC men’s tennis improved to 13-6 overall and 5-0 in The Summit League.

Women’s Tennis

On Tuesday, April 12th, UMKC women’s tennis team defeated Cowley County Community College 5-2 at the Plaza Tennis Center.

This was their 11th victory in the season, establishing a new record of the most victories in a regular season. They broke the record of 10 victories from last season.

Senior Chelsea Horner played her final home match as a Roo and secured her 29th win at UMKC. This victory made her the highest winning Roo in school history.

Sophmore Suzan Lisenby, junior Jilian Yakominich and freshman Gabriela Pintos won their single matches as well.
