The UMKC Men’s Golf team tied for 12th position this week in Jonesboro, Ark. as they competed in the Arkansas State University (ASU) Red Wolf Intercollegiate tournament. The Roo’s finished with a final two-round score of 592 (298-294) over Monday and Tuesday afternoon respectively.

Canadian Freshman Cole Chelle led the team with a final score of 144 (74-70) which was enough to place him in 24th position overall. Junior Will Robson and Sophomore Korbin Kuehn claimed 73rd place with a combined individual score of 151. Freshman Jack Fiscus rounded up the scoring for the Roo’s with a final score of 154, which earned him 81st place on the scoreboard.

This weeks outing was the last before the boys head off to the 2011 Summit League Men’s Golf Championship next week in Primm, Nev. (April 18-19). The Gold and Blue will be looking to avenge last year’s narrow one-shot defeat to eventual winner Oral Roberts.
