UMKC softball secured the No. 2 seed in the WAC Tournament after sweeping Utah Valley over the weekend. The Roos also made UMKC history by being the first team to accomplish a three-game sweep since UMKC joined the WAC.

The Roos defeated Utah Valley 11-7 and 17-3, respectively, in back-to-back games on Friday. UMKC scored 28 runs on the day, setting a new record for the program.

UMKC sealed the deal on Saturday afternoon with a 9-7 win to end the Utah Valley series.

The team will face South Dakota on April 30 to end regular season play. The Roos will then take on Bakersfield May 7 to kick off the WAC Tournament.
